I don't have a macro lens but I thought I would try to do some close ups of lilies today. Now I can't wait to buy a macro lens. There is always just one more thing isn't there?

Our garden is growing really well.
The green beans and peas are beginning to climb.
The tomatoes have more than doubled their size and have flowers on them.

Behind my employer's home there is a wooded area. I love to watch the birds and the animals that live there. This year there are yellow Finches. Specifically American Goldfinches, yes I own a bird book and I looked them up. There are at least two pair. Today one of the happy couples was dining on the caterpillars that hatch from those ugly nests in the trees.
