Today I went to Babies R Us with Ian and Christy to begin registering for baby items. I had a lot of fun but they looked a bit bewildered.

Yesterday after a long day of chores Patrick built a fire in the fire pit. It was a beautiful night, cool enough that you enjoyed the fire but not so chilly that you needed a jacket. Kate was being a goof ball making funny faces at the camera and her Dad. I love how happy they both look in these shots.

This one is a little blurry but I don't get a big smile like that in a photo of Patrick very often.

Thank you, Jim and Paige for taking me with you to Mexico. I had a wonderful time.

Each individual room or suite at The Tides had its own patio and the ones on the second floor had private stairways. No one had to walk past your suite to get to theirs. The landscaping was done in a way that hid the patios from the view of other guests on the grounds. I thought they were beautiful.

Lilly and Chloe were not the only children on our trip. Their cousins Hailey and Kyle had also traveled to Mexico to be in the wedding. Lilly had a great time with them. So did I. Hailey was a huge help with the little kids and a pleasure to talk to. Kyle was adorable and fun. I wish they lived closer so Lilly, Chloe and I could play with them more often.

Kyle is a shutterbug too.

He would just stand on the beach and watch the waves roll in and out.

Hailey and I had a conversation about the fact that there were no shells on the beach. She said that the night before she had seen Mexican men in the water. They had mesh bags that they would put in their mouths while then bent down and dug in the sand under the water. There they found shells. I told her she would have to show me how they did it since I needed shells for my collection. She cocked her head to the side and said there was only one problem... the crabs were still using them!

just chillin' in the pool

Since I took many of the pictures while holding Chloe there are not as many of her to choose from. Many of them are not of Chloe by herself since there were not a lot safe places to put her down now that she is crawling.

Chloe and Mommy at dinner. I love the little feet on the table.

This was the highchair they had at the resort. There was no seat belt and the tray did not latch.

Checking out the crib in our room.

An itsy bisty teeny weeny polka dot bikini. Soon to be replaced with long sleeved rash guard shirts. Both girls burned even with lots of sunscreen.

Too much fun in the sun. She fell asleep poolside.

The wall mirror in my room was great fun for Chloe. The lighting was poor and the walls were tan which is why there is a yellow cast to this photo.

Grammy is trying to get Chloe to look at the camera.

It is incredibly difficult to narrow it down to just a few pictures of Lilly that I liked from the trip so, this post has more photos than usual.

We arrived at the resort after lunch time, unloaded and head to the restaurant. Having been stuck on a plane or in the airport for hours Lilly was ready to do anything but sit at a table. Since we were eating outside she and I took a walk to the beach. She is running from a wave.

Checking out the water feature in the restaurant.

While Lilly has issues with some textures sand is definitely not one of them. While we ate she was bathing in sand.

She was covered in sand from head to toe.

The little monkey in a tree.

Guess who has been watching The Little Mermaid.

Back from The Tides Resort in sunny Zihuatanejo, Mexico. Just a quick post of some of the landscape shots from the trip. I took over 700 photos in five days. I will post more over the next few days. I had a wonderful time and am very thankful that I got to accompany Lilly, Chloe and their parents to such a beautiful place. (As always you can click on the photo to view it larger.)

This picture of me was take by Lilly's and Chloe's nine year old cousin Hailey.

Noah is the son of my husband's life long friend. He is playing his first season of t-ball. Patrick had been hoping to get to a game to cheer him on all season and this weekend we finally made it. The smile you see in the first picture, taken just after Noah scored a run, was present the entire time we were there. He was having a blast. It was fun to watch him having so much fun.

We have bunnies. I knew I had a bunny in the front yard but yesterday when I went out back to lay on the hammock this little guy was hiding in the grass right next to the hammock stand. He is so darn cute but he better stay out of my garden!

After years of saying we wanted a vegetable garden we finally did it.

Our little scarecrow to watch over our little garden.

There are three tomato plants. We have tried growing tomatoes in pots on the patio in the past but they never bear fruit. Keep your fingers crossed that I get better results this year.

The lettuce is growing well.

You can see broccoli in the middle of a few of the broccoli plants.

The green beans and peas are starting to come up.

We also have cucumbers, zucchini, squash, red and green peppers, strawberries and basil growing in the garden.

A wonderful Mother's day. It started with the kids making brunch. Scrambled eggs, waffles (from scratch) sausage and fresh fruit. Yummy! Traditionally we buy and plant all of our annuals on Mother's day weekend so after brunch Kate, Patrick and I went out and bought all the flowers and soil. I spent the remainder of my day working in my gardens and planting my pots.

Sophie supervised

After Christy and Ian spent some time with Christy's mom they came back over for a fire and some s'mores. I really had a wonderful day!

Sorry I haven't been posting daily. I am sharing the my laptop with Kate right since hers is broken. She is under end of the semester pressure, completing assignments and studying for finals. We are shopping for a new desktop so hopefully I will be back on track soon.

Saturday night I had a wonderful night at the ball game with Patrick. The O's beat the Yankees!!!
